You Choose Options

I have been receiving a lot of questions about whether or not I would be willing to use a different fabric choice on some of my more popular designs. I absolutely love working with clients to get them exactly what they want, so in an attempt to make things a bit easier, I decided to list some pieces in the Etsy shop where you can automatically choose the fabric you want. I'm hoping this makes it easier and more convenient, and who doesn't like options?

These adorable little shorts are still one of the more popular designs I have in the shop, even after all the years. I love how sassy and playful they are without being taken too seriously. They can be dressed up or down depending on accessories, and they are incredibly cute and comfortable on with elasticized waist and leg openings. Leopard print will always be a classic, but I thought it would be fun to dive right into all the fun animal prints available!

This classic blouse has so much vintage charm without being too stuffy or outdated, and I love the buttons down the back to create a crisp look for the front. Puff sleeves are a must, and the sweet ruffle details seen at the collar and wrists set off the look perfectly. Of course this can be made in any solid color fabric one would need, but I listed the four most frequently asked color options.

Similar to the blouse, this darling skirt is so classic and charming in the denim blue that I felt more options should be used to showcase how versatile it can be. With hidden side pockets to collect found treasures and a sweet ruffled waistline, this skirt can be worn anytime and anywhere. With all the basic colors as popular options, this skirt is truly a closet essential for the budding fashionista!

My most requested dress design to be made in a specific color, which I am only too happy to oblige! I love finding a new color and seeing it come to life in this incredibly adorable dress that is full of fun pom poms and girlish style. Originally designed to be part of the Fairytale Collection, this dress seems to strike a chord with moms and daughters alike, so I wanted to officially create a listing where all you have to do is mention the color you want. Leave the rest to me!

Kaetoo Interview

I am not ready to spill the beans on the theme for the upcoming Autumn/ Winter collection, but I will say I will be watching a particular favorite childhood movie of mine and getting inspiration as soon as I finish this entry. I am so giddy about this collection, I think it is going to be lots of fun with tons of sass! I just need to gather my drawing supplies and brainstorm a bit, but my husband has the infamous "Man Fever." This is a bit like the frightening "Man Cold" without all the other symptoms. I made him some vegetable soup and tucked him into bed for a nap with all the necessities within reach so maybe I'll have some time to work before he wakes up.

Meanwhile the lovely Kate from Kaetoo blog and Etsy shop has written up a beautiful interview featuring yours truly on her blog, and it was fun to answer the questions for her Materials and Techniques series. You can also find more featured creators on her blog through this series so go check her out if you want to be inspired by fellow artists!

Coming Soon

There will be some changes coming soon to the shop depending on certain upcoming circumstances. I have been so incredibly busy lately that I've neglected a few areas, but hopefully the winds are changing and I can get back into my routine. I've been with my sister for the past few weeks as she adjusts to life with two children, and it's been fun spending time with my new niece and delving into all things baby. I've also been learning new tricks and techniques, which will come in handy real soon...

That's right, there will be a little papoose coming in November, and I'm excited to start this journey. I don't know what the sex is yet, so I can't say whether or not I'll have a new model for the shop. Even if it's a boy, I still have my two adorable little nieces who are perfectly qualified for the job! Now that I'm feeling SO much better, I can actually think about working on the Autumn/ Winter 2014 collection, which I need to get started on as soon as possible so I don't fall any further behind schedule!
